2026 Update

All things that spin have gyroscopic properties. That includes our own planet. Gyroscopic properties basically means the precision and balance of the spinning object. In fact, our planet is basically a gyroscope in more ways than one. Not only does our planet rotate on an axis, we also rotate around our molten core. We rotate around the sun, which itself, rotates around our galaxy. So what does all that mean? Well our planet is gaining speed, but only a second so that doesn't seem to be the problem. The problem that happens to most gyroscopes is getting out of balance. A gyroscope can be as much as one of those old spinning top toys. Red handle and you pushed it up and down to get the top spinning. Spun great until it slowed down and got out of balance. Then, well, we all know what happens next.
Now let's take another look at our planet and what else happens when we spin in space. Did you know that our planet's rotation, because of our molten metal core, generates a magnetic field that helps to protect the planet? We are having a lot of problems with our magnetic field lately, to include talk of the planet changing polarity again. Our North Pole is moving at a rate of 30 to 40 miles per year now. This is up from just 6.2 miles in the early 20th Century. By the way, if our North Pole is moving, so is the South.
Simple observation on a gyroscope tells you that it falls once it goes out of balance. Now with a top, that is when it slows down, of course. But what about our planet? Seems we are getting out of balance due to the loss of the Ice Caps. The ice sheets are not coming back as thick, let alone, as far or as much. And the melting from under the ice is causing quite a bit of run off water in the Antarctic. Heck, everyone that has been around snow and ice knows it melts from both top and bottom. We do have a molten core, after all. Let alone, if the temperatures don't freeze the ground, snow won't stick at all, unless it's a freak blizzard.
While I don't wish to question the validity of core samples, I still wonder if they take into account that the sample's layers are made by snowfall and that the ice always melts from the bottom, too. (Bet the caverns under Antarctica are gorgeous). Kind of makes me wonder a bit. Those huge cracks and breaks on the continent of Antarctica are caused by melting under the ice. It melts enough and the weight takes over. The northwestern section of the Antarctic Ice sheets are basically gone, and holes form in other areas of the ice sheets. So it looks like our gyroscope called Earth is getting out of balance. Which is never a good thing for gyroscopes. Just sayin'.
Now, of course, fossil fuel companies want all that ice in Antarctica gone, anyway. There must be oil there, right? Humans are about to go down in History as the race that figured it would be more profitable to destroy the planet and each other, than to save the planet and progress into a higher form. If our current leadership in the major powers are any indication of man progressing, we are all screwed. FACT!
Now, I am a priest, and I do prefer man helping each other. Learning and growing, so that we can be more than the destroyers of our own world. I am nowhere near the only one who believes we should be fixing our own planet before we rape another one. Mine asteroids all you want, just fix our planet!
There are numerous ways in which our humanity could fix and even re-balance the planet. All it takes is the information that was removed from our science courses in the 60's. Yet, our leadership wants to go to war and take the attention away from the real problems facing man. It is not only blatant crimes being committed by our own leadership that is being covered up. It is also the ability to fix the crisis at hand. Man is running out of time to circumvent a very possible extinction event. Heat acceleration has taken hold, and all the problems will be speeding towards man's destruction faster, and faster.
While mankind itself has come back from near extinction before, we had an atmosphere to fall back on. With all the talk of water and rivers on Mars, I wonder what happened to their atmosphere? That's redundant, actually, since it's the same thing that is going to happen to Earth. We can't even give free medical to everyone, let alone, feed the hungry children in the world. We prey upon each other like the savages we all really are. We call ourselves civilized, yet the very definition of civilized is having an advanced or humane culture/society. Being polite and well-bred; refined. Like that pertains to any current culture, other than the Norwegians. We, as a race, are screwed!
